Adrian
Ball is an accredited consultant surgeon trained in oncoplastic breast surgery. He qualified from Cambridge University and The Middlesex Hospital and is
a Master of Surgery from Cambridge. He has held appointments as a lecturer
in surgery at The London Hospital and The Royal Marsden Hospital (Institute
of Cancer Research).
Mr. Ball is a Faculty member at The Royal
College of Surgeons of England and teaches there regularly. He has visited the USA and Germany to develop skills in
reconstructive and cosmetic surgery and is co-author of a book on breast
surgery techniques. He believes that breast surgery should take account
of both aesthetic and oncological principles and that a multidisciplinary
approach is essential for optimal results. Mr. Ball also welcomes questions as part of the process of reaching agreement on a treatment plan tailored to each patient’s individual needs. He is a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons, at the British Association of Surgical Oncology.
His breast surgery portfolio includes:
- Oncoplastic breast surgery: pedicled TRAM flaps, LD flaps, tissue expansion,
miniflaps, oncoplastic conservative breast surgery, sentinel node biopsy.
- Cosmetic breast surgery: breast reduction, breast augmentation.

Medico-legal work
Mr. Ball has completed accredited courses in Medico-legal Expert Witness Training and is prepared to advise solicitors and counsel on aspects of general surgery, particularly those pertaining to breast cancer surgery.
